EHS Teacher JOB SUMMARY:
Teacher is responsible for the classroom curriculum, supervision of children, maintain behavior and discipline according to the EHS Performance Standards. Teacher will also provide an enriched environment for learning.
EHS Teacher REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
General:
- BA/BS or AA degree in Early Childhood Education; Or related field with six Early Childhood Education courses CDA Infant/Toddler
Specific:
- Must pass BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation)
- Must pass CANTS.
- Must be fingerprinted.
- Must have annual physical.
- Must have a Mantoux test.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of liability insurance
EHS Teacher KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required. - Supervise & provide training to classroom staff including teacher assistants, parents & volunteers.
- Supervise a classroom with an adult ratio 4:1 within the EHS performance standards.
- Develop individual plans for each child.
- Maintains progress records for each child.
- Makes min. of 2 home visits per year and 2 conferences per year
- Shares family style meals with the children
- Attends staff meetings.
- Attends in-service training and workshops as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. This job requires high energy level, physical activity, running, standing, and playground activities, lift 40 lbs. without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Potential exposure to blood bore pathogens, respiratory diseases and other infectious diseases, and other biohazard materials requiring universal standard precautions for medical practitioners.
