The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center (JCC) Gan Ami Early Childhood Center in Mequon seeks candidates with a strong passion for working with children of younger ages, who is enthusiastic and works well in a team setting. Classroom Assistants support teachers by helping to supervise activities in the classroom, working with infants and children on an individual, small group or whole class basis.

Position Summary

The responsibilities of the Classroom Assistant include singing, reading, cuddling and playing pretend with children primarily one year old, but also floating to other classrooms, working with children up to four years old. Successful candidates must have high energy and a cheerful personality, as well as be open to instruction and have a willingness to assume additional responsibilities as needed. Strong communication skills are a must.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements (KSAs)

• Preferred: Experience working with young children.
• Applicants should list any certifications or courses they are taking or have taken that relate to working with children.

Education and/or Experience

• 17 years old or older
• Ability to work 4 or 4:30-6pm, Monday-Friday preferred
