A Dye Weighing Technician is responsible to weigh powder dye according to the press batch ticket. They will review information on the press batch ticket to determine the weight of the yarn on the carriers. The technician will use a hand scoop and remove powder dye from barrels, which is poured onto scales specific to the required amounts in grams and kilos. There are three scales that are used to weigh the dye powder, two on the countertop and one floor scale. After the appropriate amount of dye powder has been weighed, it is poured into a dye bucket and carried into the machine room. It is placed on the floor in front of the designated tank. Powder dye drums are transported using a barrel cart and the barrels are tilted and maneuvered up onto five-inch floor racks as needed.

What is my earning potential?

We now offer new competitive hourly rates starting at $16.80 with top pay up to $16.80. In addition, our updated enhanced shift premiums of $1.00 for 12-hour night shifts and $.80 for 8-hour/10-hour night shifts.

This is a 1st Shift position (10-hour shift) 4 days per week from 7am to 5pm.
