We're searching for a Domestic Violence Group Facilitator to work within the Criminal Justice Program’s team model and facilitate Intimate Partner Abuse Education Groups. S/he is accountable to the Program Director, who is responsible for providing supervision and training. S/He will provide groups both in person and through the use of telehealth. The group facilitator is one who actively promotes the philosophy of Criminal Justice, maintains a high level of commitment to the program and provides a quality service.
Essential Job Functions
** Service Excellence - necessary to meet overall agency goals and provide service excellence to program consumers.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate group that work to change the beliefs and attitudes of abusive men on a weekly basis
- Conducting partner contacts
- Ensuring progress notes and monthly reports are completed timely and stay up to date
- Submits invoices on a weekly basis
- Participates in bi-monthly staff meetings
- Attend weekly supervision as scheduled
- Attend trainings as needed for the continuing education or as deemed appropriate by the Program Director

- Perform all aspects of the position with integrity and the highest ethical standards

III. Job Requirements
- Knowledge of clients’ behavioral dynamics
- Experience facilitating groups
- Knowledge related to treatment of client population.
- Knowledge of state regulations and licensing procedures regarding service provision.
- Knowledge of community resources/agencies.
- Knowledge of training needs and procedures.
- Ability to monitor the flow of written communications and records to appropriate agencies in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates client advocacy skills and ability to establish viable working relationships with appropriate agencies.
- Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to master First Aid, CPR, Defensive Driving and Fire Safety
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
- Displays sound judgment.
- Works well as a team member.
- As others directed by Program Director
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, Associates preferred.
- Familiarity with domestic violence issues
- Certified in a Department of Health approved Batter Intervention Program Model
