Z Dog Daycare is located in the South of South neighborhood of Philadelphia. We are looking for daycare attendants & dog walkers to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, loves dogs, has a basic understanding of dog behavior, has a friendly personality and is not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Experience in pet care preferred, but not required. Rate increase after probationary period.

Dog Daycare Attendant will…

Keep dogs calm

Minimize stress and energy of the play group, before it ever reaches a critical mass.

Identify and interrupt/redirect rough and non-consensual play.

Write notes about each dog.

Maintain facility clean and sanitary.

Play with and supervise a group of up to 15 dogs alone (this is dependent on the group of dogs, but at least 10 dogs per attendant is a must).

You are responsible for knowing the individual personalities of each dog under your care.

Dog Walking will require :

Experience and love of working with companion animals. Ability to walk dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments. And care for cats. Be willing & able to walk dogs in all weather, throughout the year .

Ability to walk dogs in Center City ( Graduate / S. Philly ; Rittenhouse ; Old City)

Have internet & smart phone access ; and reliable bicycle transportation.

Availability Mondays - Fridays, from 10AM - 6PM . This is primarily a part time, weekday position that will provide supplemental income with the potential to increase over time.

You Must

*Be 21 yo or older

*Reside in the Center City area - Rittenhouse, Fitler Square, South of South, Society Hill, Olde City

*Have reliable transportation (biking in Center City is ideal )

*Previous experience with dogs/cats/pets is a plus

*Have patience, compassion, and dedication

*Be a problem solver

*Have a smart phone to check in at each visit and to have access to emails and schedules

*Be computer proficient

*Be able to pass a criminal background check

*Be able to work weekends, holidays

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $9.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
