Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the retail
store including its profit and loss. The General Manager oversees the
departmental management team (Inventory, Customer Service, Reception,
Security) and ensures Megan’s Organic Market’s goals and objectives are being
met. They also identify and cultivate talent, plan for employee growth, and
cultivate an atmosphere of teamwork that is consistent with the values and
vision of the company. The General Manager also develops strategies––in
consultation with the Executive Team––to optimize use of available company
resources for sales growth, customer retention and overall performance.

Job Responsibilities
 Oversee departmental management team.
 Meet goals and benchmarks set by the Executive Team.
 Ensure all policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
 Ensure proper staffing and operational efficiency.
 Provide training and guidance to key staff.
 Implement and monitor cost controls.
 Develop plans for upselling and turning over inventory in a timely manner.
 Consistently review and improve operations.
 Provide regular reports to the Executive Team.
 Participate in meetings with and make suggestions to Executive Team.
 Protect against loss in conjunction with the Security Team.
 Work with procurement team to drive sales and schedule special events.

Basic Qualifications
 Minimum 21 years of age.
 Minimum 5 years of retail management experience in a high-volume
establishment.
 Demonstrated success of sales growth in prior work experience.
 Ability to mediate interpersonal conflict.
 Strong leadership skills.
 Quick problem solver.
 Excellent attention to detail.
 Proficient in basic computer software such as Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related subject.
 Experience with METRC.
 Experience in a cannabis or cannabis-related field.

Physical Requirements
The duties of this job require frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking,
hearing, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
