Director of Personnel Development
TimberlineONE serves as the parent company for Timberline Landscaping, Timberline Rock n’ Roll, Timberline TrailCraft, and Timberline Building Systems. We are looking for a unique individual to support our dynamic organization and foster a positive company culture and internal brand
This position is responsible for managing and supporting the HR team, compensation and benefits, compliance administration, as well as supporting training and development throughout the organization.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach the HR team
- Training and development in partnership with business unit and department leaders to achieve their training goals
- Benefits administration and management in support of company goals
- Manage all aspects of the seasonal visa H2B program
- Serve as the in-house expert and visionary on our HRMS (IPS), maximizing its fullest potential
- Support HR Assistant and Safety Manager with HRMS (IPS), employee paperwork, workmen’s compensation, DOT regulations, employee background/drug testing, and other administrative functions
- Advise and assist recruitment coordinator as needed
- Conduct focus groups and stay/exit interviews to advise company executives and managers on employee morale and opinions and provide solutions to those needs
- Research and advise executive team on fair and competitive compensation packages
- Assist Business Unit Leaders and Payroll in communicating wage information, raises, and PTO
- Advise executives on applicable laws and regulations that are required for the best interest of the company to stay in compliance
- Facilitate all reporting to include year-end, EEO, 1095-C and other reporting as required by law
- Advise on and facilitate employee disciplinary action
- Manage termination paperwork and manage unemployment claims
- Maintain and enforce company policies as required by applicable laws
- Assist CFO with various compliance tests and audits
- Collaborate with the CSO to strategically market company values and utilize the marketing department to support the company recruiting efforts
- Other duties as assigned
requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Must be highly adaptable to the kinds of change that comes along with working in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment
- Friendly demeanor with an aptitude for helping people succeed
- Ability to evaluate self and implement a plan based on constructive criticism
- Work productively with a team
- Excellent presentation, organization, and written skills
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Possess strong analytical skills
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Ability to keep up to date with current and emerging trends
- Excellent computer skills
- Thorough knowledge of laws that impact the workforce to include, I-9, W-4, DOT, EEOC, HIPPA, FCRA, FLSA, and other applicable laws
Desired qualities to include:
- Thorough knowledge of the H2B visa program
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational leadership, or related degree
Physical Demand & Work Environment
- Office environment with occasional field exposure
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs
Job Summary:

- Salary: $70,000 -$100,000
