General Summary:
The Director, Infrastructure & Technology Services will be a significant contributor in defining our customer and employee experience strategy as it relates to technology roadmaps. The Director, Infrastructure & Technology Services will execute our technology strategy by partnering with key IT and Business stakeholders and managed service providers/partners. This person will bring expertise in designing, building, running and modernizing infrastructure & technology platforms in a hybrid multi-cloud environment and be responsible for the overall strategy, investment roadmap, technical architecture, operations, and management of underlying services.
The Director of Infrastructure and Technology Services reports directly into the CIO and is responsible for the planning, execution and management of both the on-premises and cloud environments. This position will have significant leadership and collaboration responsibilities with the HCA Digital and Business unit leaders, vendor partners and information technology product teams across the enterprise. This position will also own the key IT Service Management process for HCA and ensure effective deployment of the key processes across the enterprise. This position will have direct responsibility for the IT operating plan related to infrastructure and technology team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key business and IT partners across locations and functions to align technology and business priorities; negotiate and execute program improvements aligned with business strategy, service quality objectives and financial goals. Proven experience building relationships and ensuring end-user satisfaction across a large, distributed organization while balancing enterprise and business-specific requirements and constraints.
- Create, document and lead execution of an integrated enterprise-wide technology roadmap with established best practices, including Cloud-native solutions, platform engineering (reusable componentry for key applications) which support Agile/DevOps.
- Plan and lead strategy to maximize the use of critical Infrastructure (O365, Service Now) and Integration Platforms (Tibco, Kubernetes) while returning the required investment for the platform to the business.
- Create, execute and lead an Enterprise monitoring roadmap to track, and analyze technology performance metrics and implement pro-active problem-solving mechanisms.
- Develop, track and lead a Budget Governance program to optimize expenditures and to ensure all expenses are being analyzed.
- Implement comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery protocols for Infrastructure and Network to minimize business impact in emergency situations.
- Plan and Lead Integration modernization effort to reduce batch processing and utilize micro-service framework for all real time integrations. Support, maintain and enhance all aspects of system integrations (batch processing, micro-services, APIs, etc.).
- Lead and motivate a regional team of managers responsible for IT infrastructure organization based upon the Company values and leadership culture.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Financial Services business processes is a plus
- Advanced technical depth and knowledge of cloud, database, integrations, network, compute and storage
- Understanding modern application patterns (API) and traditional application patterns
- Experience in Network Management, Cisco IOS, Virtual Environment Mgmt, Hybrid Multi Cloud Mgmt, MSFT Office 365, Systems analysis, Data analysis
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and ability to translate customer requirements into targeted IT solutions
- Experience in change management & organizational transformation
- 15+ Years of Extensive Infrastructure experience with documented success of developing and executing an IT infrastructure and technology strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (ideally in area related to Infrastructure, Technology or Computer Science)
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
