Director Business Development - Clinical Research (Remote) Job at IMA Clinical Research

IMA Clinical Research is recruiting for a Director of Business Development for our Clinical Research division. This is a full time, remote position with travel.

Candidate MUST have experience in business development within clinical research.

IMA Clinical Research is a national organization with research sites specializing in Phase II-IV clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas. We have participated in over 650 clinical trials and collaborated with more than 100 Sponsors.

We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven salesperson with experience in clinical research sales to secure, retain and expand business for IMA Clinical Research.

This person will identify, develop, and foster relationships with key decision makers of site selection services at pharmaceutical, biotechnological and contract research organizations to secure new business opportunities in site-based, hybrid and fully decentralized clinical trials.

This position can be based in any of our office locations or be a remote work from home role.

This position is not considering candidates from New York City, Chicago, California, Colorado or Washington states at this time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Secures sales opportunities: cold calls, web meetings, conferences, client visits

  • Manages all sales activity through the sales process

  • Achieves assigned sales quota

  • Actively represents IMA Clinical Research at conferences.

  • Maintains up to date and accurate records in CRM.

  • Ensures client satisfaction through continued relationship management

  • Engages in weekly Business Development meetings of new activities, updates, and strategy


Knowledge and Skills

  • Science/sales background with understanding of clinical research

  • Proven track record of sales initiation and success

  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills, oral and written

  • Self- motivated with demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads and strategies to increase win rate

  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word


Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in business, life sciences or equivalent and relevant qualification

  • Three plus years in clinical research, site network, CRO, pharmaceuticals, or related sales that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job
