Under the administrative direction of the ASC Medical Director, the Director of ASC Clinical Operations (Director of ASC) has the responsibility and authority for leading and directing the delivery of outcome focused care for all services provided at the Waterloo ASC site. The Director of ASC will oversee all aspects of surgical services including OR suites, Pre-Op, PACU and sterile processing. The Director of ASC provides leadership for the ASC focusing on clinical quality and safe outcomes, labor efficiencies, supply chain management, volume growth drivers and revenue cycle optimization. Makes management decisions in collaboration with Medical Director on patient care, financial and cost containment initiatives. Provides administrative and clinical leadership in collaboration with senior management and medical staff to foster compliance with practice standards for performance excellence. The Director of ASC is accountable for strategic planning, fiscal management and procurement of the necessary resources to accomplish patient care programs that advance the organizational mission and objectives. Develops a surgical practice environment that encourages and supports synergistic relationships among the professionals and encourages innovation and creativity, and is responsive to customers’ needs. Ensures that the ASC efficiently provides surgical services that exceed customer expectation and improves clinical and financial operations while meeting all related local, state and federal rules and regulations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred.
CPR certification.
Five years + experience in Outpatient Service Centers.
CASC (certified administrators surgery centers) preferred
Budgeting, financial management, and clinical service management and materials experience required.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
