Dining Manager - Healthcare Job at Montgomery Place
Position Summary
The Dining Manager is responsible for overseeing the Health Pavilion’s food service and nutrition activities, and for providing the level of supervision necessary to ensure efficient and courteous quality services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Overall responsibilities
- Supervise the delivery of food services to the Health Pavilion
- Responsible for scheduling, hiring, training, counseling, and performance management of all Health Pavilion dietary personnel
- Manage outside consultant relationships and work assignments
- Develop all work assignments for Dietary Aides
- Responsible for resident and family interaction
- Interview all new admits for food preferences, likes and dislikes
- Responsible for all documentation, including Medical Data Systems (MDS) and care planning for all residents, except for the documentation of high risks residents
- Assist in developing all menus for health pavilion residents
- Maintain pertinent and appropriate records, reports, schedules, and studies as required by local, state, and federal regulations and otherwise requested
- Responsible for sanitation in all food service areas in the health pavilion
- Responsible for assuring that proper maintenance is done on equipment
General Responsibilities
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the business with the highest practical standards
- Participate in and maintain current status on all training and education required by the company
- Communicate effectively with all members of the staff and business partners
- Provide feedback to others for continuous quality improvement of the entire organization
- Openly accept feedback from others for the continuous quality improvement of the entire organization
- Escalate issues when there is appearance that business standards of quality are not present
- Comply with all rules and regulations of the organization, including HIPAA and safety
Perform other duties as assigned
