Job Definition:

The Business Development Specialist will be tasked with growing existing Small Core Customer sales and new Customer acquisition by working with Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Salespeople to introduce BDI to New Customers, to introduce new Products to Existing Customers, to reengage inactive Customers, and to schedule appointments for Salespeople.

Responsibilities:

  • Use BDI tools to Identify Existing and Target Customers where BDI can increase Market Share
  • Introduce BDI and BDI’s Salespeople to Existing and Target Customers using digital tools, including email; phone; text; and newsletters
  • Use Productivity Pipeline Projects, Knowledge Base Articles, SmartLeads and other sales tools to introduce solutions to Existing and Target Customers and to schedule appointments for BDI Salespeople
  • Responsible for other duties as they are assigned

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Should possess Microsoft Outlook and general computer skills
  • 1-2 years in a customer service or sales environment preferred.
  • Basic product knowledge of bearings and power transmission products a plus, with emphasis placed on mechanical aptitude.
  • Great communication and telephone skills.
  • Exceptional math skills
  • Team oriented
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated who can work independently
  • Microsoft Outlook and other Digital tools
  • Experience with and knowledge of Business Development
  • Available for hybrid or remote work

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
