        Summary:
       
       
         The Deputy Title IX Coordinator has the responsibility for overseeing university compliance with Title IX complaints brought against students, faculty, and staff. In this role the Deputy works closely with Student Conduct on the intake of new matters, the provision of supportive measures and the adjudication of complaints in the hearing process. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator will support the University Title IX Coordinator in the review and revision of policy and procedure implementing Title IX and its corresponding regulations and other University policies against sexual misconduct, discrimination and harassment. Finally, this position will perform investigations and direct and make strategic decisions about investigations being performed by campus investigators.
       
       
         Essential Responsibilities:
       
       - Monitor developments in law, policy, and practice related to Title IX and sexual misconduct.
- Support the Title IX Coordinator to ensure that university Title IX and sexual misconduct policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with the most recent regulations and guidance from appropriate government agencies.
- Support the Title IX Coordinator to perform continuous evaluation and assessment of policies addressing harassment and/or prohibited discrimination for effectiveness.
- Collect, maintain and analyze data, as appropriate to contribute to an Annual Report on multiple performance measures.
- Coordinate and perform investigations of University Title IX complaints and work with Student Conduct and to prepare cases for hearing.
- Perform investigations, assessments and informal resolutions of sexual misconduct, harassment and discrimination investigations involving faculty, staff and students, including writing reports and delivering training/education as needed.
- Develop, review, and revise content for the university’s written and online materials related to Title IX matters in coordination with various campus departments.
- Responsible for communicating Title IX requirements and compliance and providing consultation to Deans and other University leaders, as it relates to complaints against students in collaboration with the Title IX Coordinator.
- In collaboration with the Title IX Coordinator and the Office for Student Conduct, develop and enhance training, education, and awareness programs pertinent to Title IX and sexual misconduct.
- Receives and processes, in a timely manner, inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and administrators regarding rights and responsibilities concerning harassing behavior or other discriminatory behavior in violation of Title IX.
- Organizes and maintains grievance files, disposition reports, and other compiled records regarding complaints of sexual harassment and other discriminatory practices, including annual descriptive reports of number and nature of filed complaints and disposition of complaints.
         Qualifications:
       
       - The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience investigating Title IX complaints in a university setting.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Title IX certification and previous Title IX experience is required.
