Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our Ironbridge location!

If you are a team-player who loves providing quality patient care, please consider applying. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year or more of experience in dental assisting. If you do not have direct industry experience, we ARE willing to train the right candidate that possess positive people skills, a willingness to learn, and work in a fast-paced environment. Typical work hours are 5 days per week, 8am-5pm.

Pay in contingent on experience.

We are a practice with almost 500 employees, 15 locations and over 60 general dentists and dental specialists. At Virginia Family Dentistry, our dental assistants are held to high-quality standards in all aspects of dental care. They time-mange efficiently, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Dental Assistant provides our doctors and dental hygienists with quality support on patient procedures and diligently follows Virginia Family Dentistry’s Standard of Care.

· Our dental assistants support the doctors with all dental procedures including but not limited to, taking directions from doctors, anticipate doctor's needs, develop and mount accurate and high-quality X-rays

· Perform procedures to help maintain doctor's schedule and patient flow

· Verify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chart

· Clean and prepare operatory for patient appointment

· Assist staff in scheduling patients' follow up visits

Clinical Requirements

· Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training as required by law

· Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred

· Take blood pressure readings

· Must be (or become) x-ray and CPR certified when hired
