Datacenter Analyst Program Manager in Edge Site Operations (ESO), you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Bing search platforms. Edge Site Operations is the organization responsible for deploying and maintaining collocated facilities globally that provide low latency and reliable connectivity for Microsoft Cloud Services to our customers. Responsibilities
As a
Datacenter Analyst Program Manager in the Edge Site Operations (ESO), your responsibilities include:
- Partner with Edge and Partner Teams, Frontend and Backend Data Engineers, and leverage data science to empower data driven decisions for ESO.
- Work closely with the Global ESO Operations Teams, analyzing existing processes within ESO and within the larger Data Center Operations Organization, reviewing data and assisting the Team in process improvement and overall strategic alignment.
- Partner with teams across Microsoft to design holistic solutions and make good tradeoffs among multiple technology options in the company and in the industry.
- Integrate, transform, and consolidate data from various structured and unstructured data systems into a structure that is suitable for building analytics solutions.
- Build and maintain secure and compliant data processing pipelines by using different tooling and techniques to store and produce cleansed and enhanced datasets for analysis.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional ESO Business Requirements.
- Partner with ESO for data and analytics expertise to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years experience delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments- OR 3+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building reports using SQL, DAX, Python, and R
- Advanced knowledge building reporting using Power BI leveraging various data sources
- Dataverse working knowledge
- Visual Basic understanding and building macros to source reports
- Building reports using Power Apps, Power Platform, Power Query
- Knowledge of Microsoft Kusto language (Azure Data Explorer)
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Dev Ops (ADO) building automation from sources
- Experience working with operational ticketing systems and databases
- Experience integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and unstructured data systems into a structure that is suitable for building analytics solutions
Data Center Operations Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $99,000 - $195,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $129,500 - $216,000 per year.
