SUMMARY: Conducts cleaning of offices, courtrooms, hall/corridors, restrooms, cafeterias, breakrooms, locker rooms and carpeted and hard surface floors by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to the following)

• Conducts and completes sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and/or refinishing (waxing, stripping and/or buffing) of office, courtrooms, hall/corridors, restrooms, cafeterias and breakroom floors.
• Conducts and completes mowing, raking, edging, clipping of hedges and other various grounds keeping duties.
• Dusts, washes, scrubs and cleans restrooms, office furniture, glass, windows, walls and equipment.
• Selects and secures essential equipment and materials for assigned tasks; cleans and returns equipment and materials to storage after completion of tasks.
• Checks and replaces restroom supplies, waste container liners, deodorizers and paper dispensers.
• Carries and empties/disposes of trash from waste containers or from materials used.
• Inspects and checks all doors to determine if secured; turns off lights.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: None.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized solutions.
