Creole HR Coordinator - Home Health Care Job at Edison Home Health Care
Edison Home Health Care is seeking a bilingual Creole Human Resources Onboarding Coordinator for our Spring Valley, NY office.

Responsibilities:
- They process new hires for onboarding, ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local statutes.
- They are the first encounter a prospective employee has with Edison Home Care and set the stage for a successful partnership.
- They run background checks; obtain and verify medical documentation and liaise with State and Federal agencies to verify applicant status.
- They ensure that all applicant documents are completed fully and correctly and in accordance with regulations prior to the applicant’s date of hire.
- Certify data integrity by inputting the relevant information into applicable systems.
- They interface with the Finance Department to ensure wage and tax paperwork is entered and all employees are compensated appropriately.
- They create and take ownership of new hire personnel files/medical files/I9 files/CHRC files.
- They prepare employee's ID badges.
- They roll information upstream via reporting to facilitate continued departmental function.
- They support their teammates with follow-up regarding applicant and employee employment authorization documentation, annual compliance requirements, and more.
- They assume a growth mindset which informs their daily activities and work proactively with management to foster and catalyze growth.
- They have a can-do attitude and eagerly pitch in with other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Bilingual Creole - required.
- Experience in healthcare/home care. - Plus
- Knowledge of HHA Exchange. - Plus
- Comfort with Microsoft Office especially excel and similar programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employee, patients, and their families
- Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, take action and resolve issues
- Basic knowledge of E-Verify, CHRC and HCR. - Preferred.
