Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications
This position is responsible for the full range of live web streaming efforts for approximately 100 events on www.gogoldenknights.tv via the NE10NOW platform, including directing all live events. Responsibilities also include various pregame, in-game, and postgame production elements, recording pre and postgame interviews, archiving, editing and posting highlight packages, video feature stories for www.gogoldenknights.com and accompanying social media platforms. In addition, the position will support the athletics communications office in promotional videos, social media content, special events, and graphic design.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct high quality production elements for the athletics department live web streaming platform.
- Record and edit pregame and postgame interviews.
- Record and edit video feature stories.
- Post various video elements to appropriate website and social media channels.
- Coordinate staff including camera operators, play by play personnel, and student assistants.
- Set up and break down production equipment for assigned live events.
- Archive and maintain web stream game files, including backups.
- Oversee the development of some all graphic design needs for social media, publications, banners, video board displays, and others as assigned.
- Help manage and schedule play by play talent for live streaming efforts.
- Help coordinate and develop all of the athletic department's social media strategies.
- Assist in the design and maintenance of the Athletics website, gogoldenknights.com.
- Write and edit press releases and game notes for assigned sports
- Assist in updating records and statistics for all sports
- Collaborate with Assistant AD for Communications to advance the role of video in the athletic department's overall communications strategy.
- Provide training and guidance for other athletics communications employees so they may incorporate video into their daily routine.
- Serve as point of contact for web streaming provider.
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:*
- Bachelor's degree in communications, digital media, public relations, journalism or related field.
- At least one year of professional experience in an athletics environment working with live web streaming and video software.
- Live video production experience that includes current pre and post-production practices, and the use of related equipment.
- Proficiency with Macintosh computer operating systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and both stat crew and NCAA Live Stats (Genius) stat programs.
- Proficiency with the Adobe Platform, specifically Premier Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects preferred. Knowledge of other video programs a plus.
- Experience with website maintenance.
- Wide knowledge of all aspects of quality broadcasting including field and studio camera, lighting, sound, and editing.
- Experience creating digital and social media content for marketing and promotion purposes on multiple platforms
- Ability to develop project plans, campaigns and strategies to advance marketing and communications efforts
- Ability to train and supervise a team of student workers, graduate assistants and interns to accomplish multi-media goals.
- Demonstrated strong writing skills
- Ability to lift and carry equipment of approximately 50 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, nights and weekends.
- Experience using Production Truck software is preferred.

Full time, 10-Month position (yearly, from about August 1-June 1)
