The controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk for all offices within Latin America as well as provide information to management as needed. The controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Manage the day-to-day financial accounting functions.
- Facilitate weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting, and international operations.
- Coordinate with Starr Corporate Accounting to meet reporting deadlines.
- Provide local oversight of Account Receivable coordinators.
- Process monthly Facultative R/I billings and follow-up for collections.
- Assist with annual budgeting process.
- Special projects as assigned by COO.
- Spanish proficiency STRONGLY PREFERED
