Since 1977, Straub Construction, Inc. has steadily grown into one of the most experienced and respected general contractors providing general contracting and design-build services in the Southwestern United States. Straub is a privately held corporation specializing in DOD and public facility construction. Our professional, corporate office is located in Fallbrook, Ca. Straub is currently planning to relocated its office to the Escondido area in late Spring of 2023.

Our plan is to continue to grow the company and Straub Construction is looking for experienced Project Managers to provide hands-on management, as well as providing leadership to our on-site project teams. The Project Manager will serve as the liaison between the field team, home office, and project owner. The candidate should have knowledge and experience with: construction project costs & cost controls, scheduling, change management, cost proposal preparation, owner billings, project fee projections, strong negotiating skills, quality control, safety, subcontract preparation, and overall construction project management, while following Straub’s safety requirements, programs, and guidelines.

The candidate’s qualifications should include: 5-10 years of over-all project management success on large, complex construction and design-build projects primarily on DOD/Military and public agency projects, including NAVFAC, US Army Corps of Engineers, and other California State Public Agencies. The candidate will preferably have a degree in civil or construction engineering, or other relevant educational experience. Prior projects should reflect a strong track record of meeting schedules, achieving project budgets, strong communication & collaboration skills, problem solving & team building skills, and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.
