Community Outreach and Mental Health Clinician Job at QARI
QARI (Quincy Asian Resources, Inc.) is a not-for-profit social-service organization with a mission to foster and improve the social, cultural, economic, and civic lives of immigrants and their families. With insights drawn from twenty years of work with the immigrant community, we have seen increasing numbers of clients facing isolation, loneliness, and stress during the pandemic. To improve community wellness, we establishedQARI’s Mental Health Outpatient Program Strategic Direction in 2021 and are currently building our program to provide culturally-sensitive and language-accessible therapeutic and psychoeducational services to Asian and immigrant children, youth, and families.
With the national shortage of licensed mental health clinicians/therapists, our goal is to approach this work with creativity and innovative solutions; QARI is seeking a bilingual candidate to fill a newly created position that combines clinical and community outreach roles into one position. We are looking for licensed mental health clinicians (LICSW, LMHC, Psy.D., and Ph.D) who are interested in supporting the Asian and immigrant community for clinical as well as community outreach services. Through collaborations and partnerships, QARI provides culturally competent services, such as workforce development, adult education programs, youth development, and cultural events as well as information and referrals to public or other community partners.
Under the direction of the Clinical Director and the Family & Community Services Lead, the Community Outreach and Mental Health Clinician will provide individual and family counseling and psychotherapy services to clients referred through other QARI programs or community partners. This role will also advocate for our client’s success and leverage QARI and community partner resources to help them succeed. The Program will help increase the Asian and immigrant community's awareness of our mental health resources and services as well as streamlined pathways to access these services.
We are currently looking for candidates who are passionate about our mission and ready to join our dynamic, fun, and collaborative team as we are building the community mental health program at QARI. We welcome candidates who are looking for H1B or green card sponsorship to apply for the position.
