Unifeye Vision Partners is currently hiring for a full time Communications Manager.
Position Summary
The Communications Manager is responsible for planning, owning, and executing a variety of communications initiatives designed to enhance and/or promote the brand experience – for both internal and external stakeholders of Unifeye Vision Partners (UVP) and it’s community partners. In this capacity, the Communications Manager will lead the creation, content management, editing, and on-time distribution of quality communications deliverables for team members, referring physicians, potential and existing patients. The ability to manage multiple communication workstreams and maintain consistent, quality, professional deliverables on time is key to success in this role.
The position requires strategic and creative thinking, outstanding communication skills and exemplary writing/editing skills. Knowledge of social media platforms (specifically Facebook and Linked In) is a must. Strength in design and page layout in programs such as Photoshop, PowerPoint, Canva, Illustrator and InDesign is required. The position reports to the SVP of Marketing and Communications (based in Dallas, Texas). Travel will be required for the position (approximately 20% of the time) to meet, learn, and work with teams in the various markets served by UVP practices.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage content and distribution of monthly Team newsletter for UVP; and monthly team newsletters for all UVP markets (at present, California and Minnesota markets.)
  • Manage content and distribution of eNewsletters to referring physicians and existing or potential patients within key markets for UVP’s partner practices.
  • Writing monthly blogs to help with our SEO as well as our external newsletters.
  • Assist with content creation for articles used for local campaigns throughout UVP.
  • Manage content, posting, and comment stream for all social media accounts for all practices (sharing appropriate content across all platforms, using a tool such as Hootsuite, and sharing unique local content to reflect local teams and community events.)
  • Newsletter and social media content development include the ability to create impactful visuals which engage our audience.
  • Manage the internal communications calendar for all internal and external communications, helping to support and promote a positive culture and successful engagements between local, regional, and national team members.
  • Examples of internal communication campaigns include:
    • Holiday Heroes – team member recognition program which rewards outstanding ‘heroes’ through peer nominations.
    • Miscellaneous photo, survey, or team member contests to encourage engagement with UVP/NSC.
    • Annual College Scholarship Program – preparation of applications submitted, coordination with judging panel, and distribution of award materials.
  • Support Human Resources on any needed internal communications projects including Open Enrollment, Team Member Surveys, Recruiting posts, etc.
  • Copywriting, as needed, for select projects (e.g., collateral, websites, flyers)
  • Support, as needed, for PowerPoint presentations.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, business, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in a marketing and/or communications role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Healthcare experience desired but not required; vision care experience a plus.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace to create meaningful and impactful messaging (both written and visual.)
  • Ability to adapt writing and messaging skills to multiple platforms – e.g. print, web, social media, promotional, sales and multiple audiences (e.g., physician, patient, board members, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including problem-solving and team building.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (PowerPoint and Word required; with InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva a plus.)
