Quarry Hill Retirement Community, Midcoast Maine’s premier extended care community for Adults 55+ has an immediate opening for a full time Communications and Resident Services Coordinator to join our care team. The Communications and Resident Services Coordinator is a multi-faceted position that develops and oversees the internal and external communications of Quarry Hill -consistent with department and organization plans, mission and values, and in alignment and the overall Main eHealth system strategy. Manages select department functions, and service and external relationships. Collaborates with members of the independent living and marketing teams in the planning and execution of the functions and activities of the marketing department of Quarry Hill. Serves as first point of contact for residents, prospective residents and families seeking assistance or information about Quarry Hill.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Communications, English or Business, and 3-5 years equivalent experience. Training/experience in Microsoft Office- for Windows, Adobe Suite and ACT (marketing data base), web-based applications and social media platforms preferred.
  • License/Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a busy, diversified office setting working with employees and the public.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and be productive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to problem solve and to initiate and execute tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • OSHA-MDS sheets and procedures. Fire and safety procedures.
  • Knows resident rights and understands abuse and neglect per state regulations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate and maintain equipment: fax machine, calculator, photocopier, telephone switchboard, computer, printer, etc.
