Commercial & Sales Data Analyst Job at Ashfield Engage
The Data Analyst plays a critical role in providing valuable strategic business insight and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders within the Commercial Business Unit and Business Development team.
This is a hands-on analytical role, the Data Analyst will support the Business Development by crafting commercial solutions, enabling data-driven decisions that are based on thorough analysis and best available information

What will you be doing?
- Assist in the design and execution of primary, secondary or ad-hoc analyses to generate insights informing strategic commercial efforts across Commercial Field and Contact Center Programs.
- Support internal stakeholders for ad-hoc requests by extracting, manipulating and analyzing the data for ongoing programs.
- Perform analysis related to targets selection and territory design for sales representatives.
- Support Commercial stakeholders during program launches by pulling and staging data from different data sources.
- Prepare presentations, deliver findings, and make strategic recommendations that maximize the long-term value of the program.
- Identify, standardize and automate integration of critical reporting metrics and modeling tools to address brand-specific needs. Adapt current reports and metrics to support evolving business needs and opportunities; provide consultation and training on reports to ensure their use and effectiveness with users.
- Develop and define prioritized ad hoc analysis as needed to support evolving business requirements and to provide timely business insights.
What do you need for this position?
- 3-4 years of relevant experience preferably in pharmaceutical industry
- University Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Computer Science, Information Services or other related fields
- Must be well versed with Advanced excel and PowerPoint
- 1-2 years of experience working with data including leveraging databases, querying data (SQL etc.), and creating visualizations (Tableau, Qlik or PowerBI etc.) is required.
- Must be well versed with Advanced excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with manipulating and interpreting large data sets, including industry data (IQVIA, Symphony, Patient Claims, Payer Data etc.)
- Must possess strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail
- Strong writing and communication skills, ability to articulate complex technical requirements in a simple to understand manner
- Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to adapt and quickly develop in-depth technical understanding of new/different applications
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Customer focused and a team player
- Strong business acumen, emotional intelligence and results driven
