We have been a leader in medical tubing for over three decades with a focus on small diameters used for life saving vascular catheters and minimally invasive medical devices. We offer the widest range of tubing technologies in the industry, and frequently combine these to create components at the forefront of today’s most sophisticated medical devices.

We are currently seeking experienced Multi Axis CNC Lathe & Mill machinists to join our team on either our first or second shift. The individuals in this position will perform setup and operation procedures, must have experience with advance machining functions, have the ability to read and interpret drawings, and possess a high attention to details. Candidates should also have strong knowledge and comprehension of manufacturing procedures and applicable practices and adapt to change quickly and effectively.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Program, setup, operate, Multi Axis CNC Lathe or Mill
  • Complete setups with minimal supervision and assistance.
  • Perform and maintain accurate in process quality inspection.
  • Continuously improve processes, procedures and eliminate waste.
  • Assume responsibility for all phases of part operation setup to achieve first piece acceptance.

Criteria:
  • Required experience and education:
  • Graduate of Trade School and/or Manufacturing College Program.
  • 5 years of experience in setup processes, programming, and operations on CNC Multi Axes Lathes and Mills.
  • Preferred experience and education:
  • Prior experience working in a CNC machine shop.
  • Strong manufacturing and programming skills.
  • Experience with Okuma OSP controllers.
  • Master-Cam programming experience.
Competencies:
  • Strong use of precision measuring gauging (micrometers, indicators, gage pins, calipers, etc.).
  • Understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets.
  • Ability to machine close tolerances (.0002) of ID’s and OD’s, roundness, concentricity, and squareness.
  • Knowledge of cutting tool feeds and speeds. Cutting tool grades and coating.
  • Blueprint reading and understanding how to meet print requirements.
  • Able to work from Solid Models for programming geometry.
  • Ability to communicate with fellow employees and management in a positive manner.
Work Schedule:
Our workweek consists of 4 ½ days with a 40-hour work schedule. Note our 1st shift is 6:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 7:00 am -11:00 am on Friday. 2nd shift is 2:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 10:00 am - 2:00 pm on Friday.

Work Environment:
Work in a clean, air-conditioned shop with new equipment (Okuma LB3000 EX II) (Okuma Genos M560-V). Professional development/training opportunities, and a high mix / low volume workload.
