SUMMARY

Provides community relations to new admissions entering the building. Maintains professionalism, following company policy and procedures, including handling media. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity. This position must be a Licensed CNA.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for providing guest relations, greeting new admissions and their members, etc., upon entrance to the Community.

2. Provides tours when needed.

3. Makes sure that the resident's room is ready for new admission.

4. Escort the new admission to their room handling all personal belongings.

5. Take inventory of items brought in by residents such and labeling items such as clothes, personal belongings etc.

6. Document resident's likes and dislikes and preferences with food.

7. Provides resident with basic necessities such as toiletries upon admissions.

8. Complies with privacy required by Gainesville Health Care Center or State Regulatory Agencies.

9. Other duties as required by the Executive Director.

10. Must be able to work every weekend Saturday and Sunday 10:00AM until 6:00PM.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Education high school diploma preferred. Basic typing skills along with a working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software are required, preferably in Microsoft Windows Environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in English and understand and follow written and oral directions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license and access to a private vehicle for business use.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood borne pathogens. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and toxic caustic chemicals. The environment is characteristic of a facility in which healthcare is provided to the frail elderly. The noise level is usually moderate.
