Job Summary (Essential Functions)
We are looking for a hard-working, dependable Clubhouse / Facilities Assistant to join our team. In this role, your main task is to assist with maintenance around the property, ensuring our buildings and facilities remain safe, clean, and functional. Whenever possible, you will complete the maintenance and repair activities yourself or with other members of our maintenance team. Our ideal candidate will have some carpentry experience and is knowledgeable about various hand and power tools. You may also be asked to perform maintenance on our plumbing or electrical system, so any experience in these areas is a major plus. As part of our maintenance team, you should feel comfortable assisting with landscaping and cleaning tasks as needed. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
This position will pay $18 to $22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience and may be offered as seasonal or part-time without benefits, or full-time including benefits. The ideal candidate will be able to work Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM but the schedule can be flexible and may vary. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vacation, sick time, and 401k.

- Mechanical inclination.

Job Tasks/Duties
- Identify areas of the property and facilities that need cleaning, repairs, and/or updates.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks, including blowing parking lot, courts, and sidewalks, and removing trash.
- Replace broken fixtures and hardware.
- Perform minor building repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Complete minor painting projects, including any necessary drywall repairs.
- Assist with landscape maintenance and intensive cleaning tasks.
- Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the clubhouse and its premises.
- Assists with preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc., by installing decorations and constructing display pieces.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Completes other appropriate assignments as directed by Facilities Director.
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Facilities maintenance or general carpentry experience preferred.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems a plus but not required.
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; moderate noise levels.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
- Ability to regularly lift items that are 50-100 lbs.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.
