The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Clinical Scheduler to join our team. Under the general direction of the Nursing Supervisor for the Dual Diagnosis Residential Program (DDRP), the Clinical Scheduler performs a variety of complex administrative support duties. This position prepares and coordinates coverages for Psychiatric Technicians and Nursing services at the DDRP Program. Other duties include back up to the Program Assistant assigned to DDRP.

What you will do:

  • Creates/maintains scheduler templates for Nurses & Psychiatric Technicians.
  • Responsible for inputting schedules and any changes into KRONOS timesheet.
  • Process all time sheets for all employees (regular and relief) payroll and enters schedules for payroll.
  • Maintains records received, prepares, or verifies documents pertinent to leave slips, sign-in sheets and time sheets.
  • Electronically record employee PTO, late, administrative leave for supervisor’s in relation to employee performance in KRONOS.
  • Deliver payroll reports and signatures.
  • Acts as back up to the Program Assistant for DDRP.
  • Researches, copies, pull and/or sends information as directed within expected timeframes.
  • Performs related work as assigned. Adapts to changing working requirements.
  • Maintains professional behavior and provides excellent customer service to both staff and patients.
  • Demonstrates ethical conduct, professionalism, and confidentiality in all activities.
  • Works with others in a collaborative manner. Actively participates as a member of the team.
  • Complies with Agency policies and procedures, accrediting/regulatory bodies and performance contract documentation requirements.
  • Communicates and works with patients/visitors/other staff in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity to cultural diversities.
  • Provides administrative support for special projects for Nursing Supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Four years of progressive office administrative secretarial experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Correct English usage including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Proficiency in computer software programs i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with agency personnel, consumers, and the general public.
  • Proficiency in established record keeping and filing.
