Clinical Counseling Supervisor Job at Kids Above All
Kids Above All is seeking a Clinical Counseling Supervisor.
Job Summary: Provide day-to-day leadership management and directions to Camp Sheilah Coordinator and providing supervision for therapists and interns. The supervisor will provide clinical oversight for therapists in Counseling Solutions and Camp Sheilah; in addition, will help with planning the camp weekend and the quarterly camp activities.
Essential Functions:
- Provide on-going supervision and monitoring to all assigned staff, volunteers, and interns within the Counseling Solutions and Camp Sheilah programs.
- Supervise, supports and provides backup to assigned staff in their work with children, families, KAA staff, Juvenile Court, DCFS, and other collateral agencies and individuals.
- Plan and schedule weekly support meetings for staff. Collaborate with the Clinical Director in the development and delivery of the trainings needed by team.
- Collaborate with Managers from assigned Programs to include clinical topics in their Parent/Foster Parent/Provider meetings.
- May carry a limited caseload as needed.
- Complete necessary record keeping activities as required for case files, for court papers and collaborators when necessary.
- Supervise Psychiatric and other Clinical Sub-Contractors serving Armour eligible clients.
- Prepare performance evaluations on staff and/or make personnel recommendations to Director of Program.
- Work with the Camp Coordinator to process and complete all camper intakes, camper application and parent applications.
- Put together camper profiles for each camper that will later be uploaded to CampMinder for matched volunteers and journey leaders.
- Prepare binders for all camp staff and camp nurses.
- Use CampMinder for all email communication with camper parents and volunteers.
- Send camper and parent confirmation letter via US mail with camp packing list 30 days prior to camp date.
- Partake in volunteer/camper matching.
- Assist with all volunteer training sessions with Camp Manitoqua/other sites and Camp Sheialh team.
- Attend and assist with leading volunteer trainings (usually 2-3 a year)
- Utilize CampMinder email for all necessary correspondence with volunteers and camp families; if phone calls or Kids Above All email is used, document information in CampMinder for consistency.
- Attend monthly meetings with the Camp Sheilah Planning Team.
- Attend every other week calls with the Camp Director/Chief Clinical Operating Officer.
- Provide Camp Director/Chief Clinical Operating Officer receipts for all purchases to be submitted to Finance Department.
- Assist in the development and/or re-writing of policies, training manuals, etc.
- Perform administrative duties including completing reports, data entry, scheduling, etc.
- Participate in marketing and public relation activities as needed;
- Assist with quarterly camp activities/events
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work; counseling or or similar degree from an accredited university and clinical license; at least 1-2 years recent experience in managing a program team.
- LCSW required.
- Knowledge of trauma informed model and bereavement therapeutic model preferred.
- Experience with camp, preferably overnight camp.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of staff and maintain a high level of confidentiality required; must be team-oriented; proficient with Outlook, Word and other relevant software required.
- Must demonstrate independent and sound decision-making and judgment always maintaining what is in the best interest of Kids Above All.
- Access to insured auto is preferred not required.
- The therapists are NOT required to have a car nor conduct home visits. All the visits will be at the office and virtual. Therapist roles will be HYBRID positions.
