Seasonal Adventures Christmas Trees at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA is Hiring Now for several open positions. We are located on 7100 El Rancho Drive at the corner of El Rancho and De Soto. We open Black Friday Nov. 25 and close Christmas Eve Dec 24, open everyday from 11am-9pm. If you can start working sooner, we may have some work for you starting Wednesday Nov 23.

Open Positions include Tree Sales, Tree Standers (replacing sold trees with new ones on the rack), Flocking (artificial snow), and Home Delivery (a separate Ad was posted for delivery). All open positions are physical and require getting hands-on with the trees, whether it be moving them, carrying, tying them to customers' cars, netting them, etc. Tree Sales position includes the use of a chainsaw and hand drill and applicant must be at least 18 for that.

All positions are paid LA minimum wage which is $16.04/hr, except if you're flocking which is a different structure. All positions have the opportunity for tips.

Tree Sales - You'll be trained on the different types of trees and how to care for them at home to educate the customer. Help sell the trees and accessories like tree stands, decorative wreaths, liquid tree food, watering canes, etc. (upsell). Cut a fresh cut on each tree, get it on a stand, get it netted, help the customer to their car and tie it up if necessary (with the help of tree standers). Inventory sold trees. You'll get tips. Must be 18 because of risks associated with chainsaw use.

Tree Standers - Keep the tree aisles stocked with new trees as they are sold, so that aisles are always full. Attach price tags orderly and legibly. Water all standing trees and keep lying trees covered (we'll talk more about this). Basically spend your day assisting the sales people and keep the lot looking nice!

Flocking - Run the flocking machine to decorate the tree with flocking (artificial snow). You won't be paid by the hour, however you'll be paid per foot of tree you flock... so take the time to be a little artistic with it, but don't spend all day on one tree. This position requires more physical lifting though too, and you'll be responsible for cleaning the machine and the area every shift. Pay is $2/foot of tree... do three 6ft trees and get $36 for example. If there's no flocking to do one day, then you may clock in as a tree stander or maybe tree sales if needed at $16.04/hr.

We also may need someone to work the front gate, checking tree receipts, greeting people with a smile and maybe answering customers' question as the leave or enter.

Requirements

• Valid Photo ID (DL, Passport, Student ID), Social Security Card, Must be reliable and communicate well with the public. Must be able to arrive on time, every time, and commit for the entire season Black Friday to Christmas Eve. Must be available to work weekends.
