PURPOSE

Perform work under the direction of the Casino Compliance and Internal Audit Manager, which can include multiple audits and/or projects. Assist with developing comprehensive risk and control matrices/audit programs for assigned audits of non-gaming areas. Develop and present audit findings and audit reports. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in the minimum guest service expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the development of the annual audit plan.
• Completes ongoing compliance audit programs for non-gaming areas.
• Assess compliance with Tribal, State, and/or Federal regulatory requirements.
• Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to policies and procedures.
• Report audit findings and make recommendations for the correction of unsatisfactory conditions, improvements in operations, and reduction in cost.
• Provide advisory and consulting services to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and utilization of company assets.
• Perform follow-up actions as necessary on instances of noncompliance, ensuring the non-gaming areas have taken the appropriate actions to address cited violations and prevent future occurrences.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Two (2) year Accounting/Business degree and four (4) years of work experience in auditing, accounting, or finance; or
• Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of internal audit practices, procedures, and standards for conducting operations, financial, and compliance internal audits
• A self-motivated, results-oriented professional with experience and success working in a collaborative environment.
• Working knowledge of internal control analyses and risk methodologies; Institute of Internal Auditor Standards and General Accepted Auditing Standards.
• Experience documenting controls and evidencing tests of controls.
• Strong technical skills including the ability to effectively utilize technology and the commitment to learning in the technology environment.
• Ability to manage your time and project priorities to meet challenging requirements while providing high-quality responsive services.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word and Excel required)
• Strict adherence to professional ethics.
• Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

PREFERRED:

Education and Experience:

• Snoqualmie Casino Career Development Track Series completion.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting and auditing is strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a casino gaming-related field is strongly preferred.
• Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, or related certification preferred.

Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
