Cashier/Sales Associate Job at DB's Smoke & Vape
The ideal candidate for this position will have strong cashiering skills as well as a friendly and outgoing demeanor. The Cashier/Sales Associate is responsible for greeting customers, handling cash and credit transactions, and resolving any customer disputes. Internal promotions are available to qualified candidates who demonstrate their ability to handle customer interactions in a professional manner. Knowledge of smoke and vaping products is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cashiering duties and provide customer service in a retail setting.
- Maintain knowledge of merchandise to answer customer questions on store products to encourage sales.
- Provide customers with receipts, as well as refunds and exchanges when necessary.
- Present a positive, helpful attitude to all customers, regardless of their mood or temperament.
- Maintain a clean store environment by following cleaning procedures put in place by store manager.
- Observe store and parking lot activity.
- Enforce store policies.
- Restock merchandise on counters, racks and shelves.
- May be responsible for opening or closing the store dependent on shift.
- Must be able to work 8 hour shifts and be comfortable working independently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
