Job Description

As a member of the Business Process Quality Team, you will be an active contributor to the Steam Business Process Management Framework to drive robust business processes that are efficient, simplified and capable of meeting all customer focused metrics.   • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating lean methodology in Business Process improvement as you partner with Business Process stakeholders to drive performance in both meeting customer expectations and reducing overall Cost of Poor Quality in the business .
  • You will be an indispensable Business Process Partner, with excellent leadership, problem-solving, lean and communication skills to improve Steam Power Services business process success.

The Business Process Quality Manager will partner with business process owner(s) to ensure there is a robust and efficient wing-to-wing process, to drive standardization and simplification and to establish customer focused metrics with the target to eliminate process losses and to reduce process costs.

This role will also include servings as a Business Process Partner as a member of the Quality function working together with the Business Process Owners to:

  • Continuously improve the maturity and application of the business processes.
  • Obtain feedback from external and internal stakeholders, using this data to ensure one off and systemics shortfalls in the process are addressed.
  • Verify and validate effective application of business processes and overseeing that they are well integrated in the business process model.

The specific roles and responsibilities of the Business process partner include:

  • Defines process management requirements: rules, framework, and structure, including op. rhythm and KPIs.
  • Supports or leads the implementation of process improvements.
  • Ensures collation and analysis of inputs from internal and external stakeholders to measure performance of process and hence areas for improvement.
  • Acts as contact person for alignment with the Business Process Model.
  • Supports the process owners in definition and implementation of their process.
  • Identifies best in class processes, benchmarking, and identification of improvements.
  • Manages priorities and portfolio of improvements.
  • Defines audit plans for processes with business process owner.
  • Compiles and owns process risk assessment.
  • Shares learning and best practices with business process owners.
  • Coaches and mentors teams on problem solving.
  • Applies lean methodology through Kaizen Events to drive continuous improvement in the business process.
  • Supports and develops Continuous Improvement Project strategy for business process.
  • Advocate for COPQ systemic analysis in business process and linkage to Kaizen strategy.
  • Drives Business Process Maturity model progress and achievement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the strategy for process design and process documentation.
  • Define and implement the global process harmonization and improvement roadmap.
  • Drive and coach the design of customer focused, efficient and robust processes.
  • Monitor and analyze process data to realize impactful improvements.
  • Lead the problem solving for generic process problems and non-conformances.
  • Lead process quality relevant functional and mission-based teams.
  • Plan and maintain integration to the Steam Power Quality Management System.
  • Act as subject matter expert for quality management and improvement tools.
  • Act as subject ambassador for a quality, compliance and safety culture.
  • Partner with the Quality team and Region leaders to ensure our existing business processes are serving the needs our customers and where improvement required driving these with the respective process owners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college; or equivalent knowledge / experience.
  • 5+ years practical experience in process design and process improvement.
  • 5+ years practical experience in forming and leading functional teams.

The salary range for this position is $97,500.00 - $162,500.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for variable incentive compensation.
