The Sr. Director/Exec. Director Business Optimization Lead is a role that requires proven abilities to develop strategy, lead strategic innovation, and drive measurable business outcomes in the Government and Public Health Services (GAPHS) sector. The individual’s GAPHS expertise will be extensive and will play a key part in the future business success of Allucent as it seeks to continue its track record of successful growth and expand its position in the GAPHS sector. The position will report directly to the Vice President of GAPHS services.


  • Support leadership by contributing to the identification, development and implementation of the business strategy
  • Proactively identify, qualify and develop both new and existing business opportunities
  • Coordinate and drive business opportunities through the GAPHS sales cycle from lead generation, sources sought, RFI/RFP, and award notice
  • Ensure and maintain deep understanding of the market including competitors, clients/leads, industry trends to appropriately sell our services
  • Build and foster relationships with key decision-makers of new and existing clients
  • Proactively seek ways to build and grow the GAPHS sales pipeline
  • Support preparation of proposals including writing and reviewing proposal text
  • Maintain day-to-day sales administration activities in a detailed and timely manner in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system Salesforce
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and represent Allucent with high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty, and professionalism at all times.
  • Collaborate and ensure open communication with operational departments to match clients’ needs and demands with internal Allucent capabilities

Requirements

  • Advanced degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 12 years of post-education experience in clinical research or similar field
  • Minimum of 10 years of GAPHS experience and a track record of winning work funded by the FDA, Department of Health and Human Services (including BARDA, the NIH, etc.), Department of Defense, or equivalent agency experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept in working in a virtual or face to face environment
  • Experience with Microsoft office (Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • DoD or Department of Health and Human Services background and experience required
