About the Benefits Analyst at Headspace Health:
As the Benefits Analyst, you will have the opportunity to learn and support implementation of cutting edge HR programs and gain exciting career growth across all pillars of People Operations.
Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, this individual is a critical point of contact for employees with benefits- and perks-related needs and a highly integral team member for the employee experience from onboarding to offboarding.
They will be a key hands-on partner & voice on the People Team; contributing to and supporting our Total Rewards programs with day-to-day operations, change management, communication, employee engagement, belonging & inclusion; and a collaborative partner in the many facets and sub-functions of People Operations. This support role will be a champion for development of an organization that operates as one company & one team.

- Champion our best-in-class benefits programs with future, current, and former employees.
- Resolve issues timely with employees, vendors, and systems, escalating as needed. This includes researching, responding to, and following up on employee questions.
- Anticipate potential confusion or roadblocks for employees and coordinate with vendors to identify potential issues.
- Identify common questions coming from employees and proactively design and launch educational programs to help employees navigate our benefits.
- Support with auditing and coordination with internal finance team specific to self-insured billing, benefit elections and deductions and healthcare claims.
- Identify potential vendor file feed issues.
- Support employees with new hire, life events, and annual enrollment benefits and 401(k) selections; Communicate benefits information in a clear and timely manner that is easy for employees to absorb.
- Ensure that employee databases and records for benefits are accurate and up to date in the Company’s HR/benefit and vendor systems, maintaining strict confidentiality as required. Assist with compliance efforts for benefit and retirement programs, including record keeping, reporting, materials, etc.
- Collaborate with the POPs team to successfully launch an integrated UKG system so that benefits and benefit reportings runs accurately and efficiently as we scale.
- Develop and maintain procedure and process documentation.
- Cross-train and serve as back-up for other People Operations team members as needed.
What you’ve accomplished:
- 2+ years of Human Resources, Payroll, or Benefits experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of key concepts and regulations in human resources, benefits, etc. Prior HR experience in retirement, wellness, leave of absences, Workers’ Compensation, time and attendance, and/or payroll is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle issues with sensitivity, empathy, patience, and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills with ability to prioritize assignments and meet deliverables while handling various projects simultaneously.
- An analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving and has the ability to analyze large amounts of benefits data for invoice reconciliation, auditing, etc.
- Naturally inclined to exercise good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and follow general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying a broken (or missing!) process, study it, and recommend solutions, OR, when to ask questions or escalate the situation and provide regular updates as needed.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with payroll, benefit, or HR systems. UKG (UltiPro) experience a major plus.
