We are looking for an experienced SERVICE ADVISOR/CSR for our fast-growing auto repair facility here in Laytonsville, MD.

This is a full-time position for a strong candidate who has at least 5 years of experience working for a professional auto repair business as a service writer/advisor or customer service representative.

Our Service Advisor is the interface between the customer and the technician and the manager pulls everyone together as a team.

Service Advisors are powerful salespeople at the front counter! Not only do they sell service, but they own the customer experience.

DUTIES OF POSITION:

  • Checking customers in and out and building long-term trusted relationships with them
  • Managing workflow / ordering parts online
  • Leading the team
  • Providing and executing estimates
  • Generating and cashiering repair orders
  • Timely and complete follow-through on questions, estimates, progress notifications, and project completion

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills (outgoing / friendly / accommodating / people oriented / solution focused)
  • Must have the ability to listen to customer concerns and convert them into written instructions for technicians
  • Must have a customer satisfaction focus and make this your highest priority
  • Must work well with a diverse client base, technicians, and coworkers
  • Must be a team player!
  • Our product mix is 50% Tire Sales and 50% Automotive Repair so candidates must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to handle inventory
  • Attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic are not only requirements for the position but are necessary for success
  • Must have a strong automotive background. Bring your automotive skills and knowledge and hit the ground running!
  • Experience with Automotive related software is definitely a plus!
  • Applicants should have the ability to type well, be technically minded, proficient with modern technology and forms of communication, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be comfortable with educating and quoting ALL of the repair or service recommendations made and not have a reservation or fear about the amount or cost of those repairs or services. The right candidate must not think with their own wallet and should be confident in the presentation and be able to offer options if needed.
