Automobile Dealership General Manager Job at Thoroughbred Ford
Job Description:
Thoroughbred Ford of Platte City is seeking a general manager to oversee all operations. Thoroughbred Ford of Platte City is a Ford-franchised automotive dealership located in Platte City, Missouri, which is located near Kansas City Missouri and the Kansas City International Airport.
Duties:
· Monitors department managers
· Communicates with dealer regarding business performance and future plans
· Works with dealership office manager and ensure that financial information is submitted in a timely matter in order to prepare accurate financial statements
· Maintains excellent working relationships with factory personnel and lending personnel
· Communicates dealership policies with employees
· Builds morale among employees
· Oversees customer satisfaction for entire dealership and strives for excellent performance on factory CSI metrics provided by manufacturer
· Fosters cooperative environment between various departments in the dealership
· Reviews and approves of compensation plans for all employees
· Resolves customer complaints if department managers are unable to do so
· Uses technology as appropriate and required, including the CDK DMS system
· Other tasks as required
Qualifications:
Automotive experience is required. Applicants with Ford experience and/or CDK are preferred. Preference will also be given to applicants with some experience in finance and insurance. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Pay: $70,000 - $100,000 per year
