We are looking for an Automation OT Specialist who will act as a centralized engineering body supporting gas pipelines and compressor stations along Enbridge’s US Pipeline system. This team specifically supports the areas of instrumentation, process controllers, human-machine interfaces, communications networks, and other equipment related to process control in an OT environment. Here’s what you will do:

Provide subject matter expertise related to the OT infrastructure used by the Controls team to support UST compressor station systems.

Participate in design reviews, incident and failure analysis, risk analysis, and change management reviews related to OT infrastructure changes.

Manage deployment/support of cyber security tools in the OT space, e.g., SolidCore, CrowdStrike.

Coordinate security zone/firewall modification requests impacting the OT space.

Application server management.
-
Manage patching process for UST engineering workstation hardware, Unit HMI PCs, and software license inventory.

Oversee OT vulnerability management related to PLC and Unit HMI assets.

Act as ultimate escalation point for complex technical problems and systemic issues related to OT infrastructure.

Research broker implementation of new technology and represent Enbridge on industry committees.

Identify technical issues, risks, and value adding opportunities.

Convey highly technical issues in a way other stakeholders can understand and operationalize.

Make recommendations that provide the basis for making critical business decisions.
Who you are:

You have:
-
A Technologist diploma
-
Minimum 12 years of direct OT infrastructure support experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in the English language are essential for this position.

Knowledge of relevant codes and standards related to cyber security (e.g. ISA).

Valid driver’s license.

The following are considered assets:
-
Previous experience in the natural gas industry.

Experience with SCADA system support.
-
Expertise with industrial process controllers including GE, Simatic 505 and Allen Bradley PLCs
-
Industrial control LANs and communications protocols.

Working Conditions:

Occasional travel to field facilities may be required (10%)

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
