The Role
Reporting into the Executive Director of Communications, Moderna is seeking an Associate Director of Communications to work within the Brand & Corporate Affairs team on integrated, highly visible and complex communication projects, with a focus on storytelling and multimedia digital content across a variety of online platforms. The Associate Director will serve as a strategic partner from project kick-off to delivery, project managing, organizing, and driving meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, actively seek and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams, influence functional leaders on communication strategy, and consistently adapt to evolving company goals and objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Oversee brand and content creation from inception to execution

Deliver highly engaging and disruptive content across channels and mediums, including video, audio, podcasts, social media, blogs, etc.

Independently, create concepts and designs for new projects in constantly changing environment

Monitor and track industry trends and stay up to date on and proficient in relevant technology

Lead internal and external meetings on assigned projects, including but not limited to scheduling, setting milestones and benchmarks, and measuring outcomes

Identify creative solutions and strategies when priorities shift, and the team needs to refocus without losing momentum

Provide cost estimates and monitor budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery

Ensure all content is on brand and meets stakeholders’ requirements and deadlines

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or relevant field

10+ years’ experience in a similar role

Proven deep experience in video production

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

Strong knowledge of computer software that is related to web design, video editing, and graphic design

Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

Strong understanding of project management, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed project plans and specifications, and run internal team meetings as well as external meetings

Experience managing vendors and creative agencies with outcomes that consistently exceed expectations

Solution-oriented with a growth mindset and strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Ability to solicit and synthesize feedback while collaborating effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
