Position Description: Responsible for planning overall management of the Community, for carrying out the policies and procedures of Annandale Village, for the Communities compliance with state requirements and for operating the Community within the parameters of the planned financial budgets.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in applicable field with four (4) years’ experience working in a Personal Care Home, health or aging related setting, including two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory position. ALC Administrator Level 1 required.Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements. Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting. Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by date of hire.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining the Community’s compliance with state requirements for ALCs through development of procedures and processes supporting the operations, organization and a smooth flow among the various ALC functions. Maintain appropriate documentation/records as related to regulations.
  • Maintains medical and health information and Villager health insurance information to ensure that all files are completed and in compliance with the policy and state requirements and any deficiencies have been corrected.
  • Participates in meetings as appropriate e.g., Leadership, Programs and Services, ALC staff meeting, etc. Assist with approval of all admissions through participation with admissions committee.
  • Provides input for annual budget preparation representing the needs of assigned area. Develops inventory of ALC supplies; coordinates the ordering and re-order process and manages within the budgeted parameters.
  • Coordinate the orientation of new staff to the ALC, completes Orientation Checklist and determines readiness for independent work. Requiring all Staff members to complete initial and continuing education in compliance with state requirements and Community policies. Facilitates staff education as appropriate to ensure on-going competency.
  • Monitor staff performance to make sure that care and services are safely delivered in accordance with state requirements and Community policies and procedures.
  • Assign duties to personnel consistent with their position, abilities, training and experience and in compliance with state requirements.
  • Provides supervision of the performance of all ALC staff. Monitor staff performance.
  • Assist Human Resources Department with the hiring of new staff members and termination of unsatisfactory staff.
  • Whenever possible, remains at the Community during emergency situations.
  • Whenever possible, remains available by phone when not in the community.
  • Ensures that all Care Plans are completed in a timely manner and meetings with families/caregivers are scheduled appropriately.
  • Acts as the contact person for the Assisted Living Community audits. Facilitates any corrective action plans necessary.
  • Ensures submission of required notifications and reports to DCH timely.
  • Responsible for maintaining an effective Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Plan.
  • Responsible for ensuring an effective infection control program is maintained.
  • Evaluates Villager complaints and incident reports to determine the appropriate plan of care, communicates with physicians and other healthcare providers as necessary to ensure timely treatment and problems resolution.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and competency in protecting the rights, dignity and individuality of Villagers and others.
  • Complies with all Annandale policies, procedures and dress code; is punctual and reliable in performance of his/her duties.
  • Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment and/or Villager.
  • Attends all required and assigned trainings and meetings.
  • Performs other duties that may be in necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee Inc. to meet the personal service and care needs of the Villagers.

  • Employee is required to lift up to 25 pounds and/or move up to 75 pounds (with assistance).
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee is required to transport (drive) and assist Villagers in and out of vehicles.
  • Employee is required to perform CPR/First Aid.
