ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER - WIXOM, MICHIGAN

A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Wixom, Michigan area is in need of a 2nd Shift Assistant Production Manager.

This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.

Summary:
The Assistant Production Manager plans, organizes and controls production for their assigned shift to ensure that parts are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard. Responsible for providing training and facilitating process improvements as need to ensure World Class Manufacturing. This position will be on Second Shift.

Responsibilities:
Provide communication and reporting on the Department/ Shift progress and results in achieving divisional goals and operation of the department; manage and supervise hourly employees in a production environment including planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems; interviewing, hiring and training employees, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees. Oversee shift production, maintenance, materials and quality groups, making sure that products are produced safely, timely, and high quality.

Required Skills & Experience:
Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field or a combination of education and experience.
Five year' s manufacturing leadership required. Must have the ability to problem solve, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, the ability to communicate with others, both verbal and written. Must have at least intermediate experience with Microsoft office programs.
Must have the ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
