Hollie Ray Boutique is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our new Hamilton Place Mall location! Our Assistant Store Managers possess strong leadership skills, enjoy working with people, are hard-working, and have a strong desire to help our small business grow. The Assistant Store Managers are a reflection of the Store Managers, the company, and its values; therefore, the expectations of an Assistant Store Manager are much higher than that of a Stylist position.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

Assists with the daily operations of the store, ensures it runs smoothly and effectively, and reports to the Store Manager with all employee and customer updates.

Leads by example and motivates the team to provide excellent customer service by going above and beyond in assisting customers with their buying experience.

Displays an expert level of brand awareness, the products, and the unique qualities of each.

Assists the Store Manager in ensuring the sales floor is covered at all times, meaning they help facilitate coverage or personally cover when there are breaks and/or call-outs.

Meets sales goals by leading, training, motivating, and mentoring employees by providing constructive feedback.

Responds to customer and employee complaints/concerns in a professional manner with guidance from the Store Manager.

Assists in maintaining accurate inventory levels and mitigating loss.

Works alongside the Store Manager to maintain store's appearance weekly and follows visual merchandising direction, given by the Store Manager and District Manager. Knows how to move hanging bars, tables, fixtures, etc. to showcase apparel and other merchandise effectively.

Ensures store compliance with health and safety regulations and maintains a clean and organized sales floor and workspace.

Understands how Shopify and all hardware works (installation & connectivity).

Knows their role and a stylist's role thoroughly to ensure team accountability. Reprimands stylists when they are not meeting standards via in-moment coaching, verbal warnings, and potentially write ups.

Notifies Store Manager of repeated issues with employees and assists with following up on them.

Preforms weekly deposits via locked bank bags. Understands cash accountability and is fully knowledgeable on safe practices.

Has a willingness to stay and complete tasks as a team until the job is done.


Requirements & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, or similar relevant field preferred.

A minimum of 1 year experience working in a retail environment, management experience preferred.

Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture

Strong leadership and customer management abilities.

Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

Must have open availability and be able to work nights and weekends.

A weekly availability of 35-40hrs each week is required.
