Assistant Front End Manager Job at Market Street Grill and Oyster Bar
We are looking for a part time Assistant Front End Manager to work 3 nights a week at the Grub Steak, Park City's finest steak house, starting as an hourly position. The restaurant opens at 5 pm 7 nights a week.
This individual will assist with greeting, seating, scheduling, inventory, directing staff, opening and closing the restaurant and interacting with guests.

Each Market Street restaurant houses a fresh fish market as well. The seafood cases at the Market Street Fresh Fish Markets are packed with fresh seafood from around the world. Salmon, oysters, cockles, shrimp, crab, lobster and a variety of delectable fresh fish are all displayed and ready for the home chef as well as all of our delectable desserts, famous clam chowder and sourdough bread.
The hourly rate will be determined based on experience and includes paid vacation, low cost health insurance for you and dependent family members, allowance for dining in off hours, 401K (after 1 year) and other benefits. Back of house experience a plus.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry, a minimum of 1 year management experience and:
- The ability to function well in a high volume upscale restaurant and exhibit grace under pressure
- The ability to interview, hire, train and direct kitchen and service staff
- The ability to produce work of high quality
- The ability to manage inventory and order product
- Advanced food safety knowledge
- The ability to obtain pre-determined results, including working within the guidelines of a budget and understanding a financial statement
- Good communication skills, professional appearance and demeanor, and the ability to work well within an overall restaurant team, including both front and back of house. The ideal candidate will know how to run a smooth floor, be sharp, energetic, hospitality oriented, have great interpersonal skills and a good work ethic.
- Good computer skills and overall restaurant knowledge
- Wine, spirits and fine food knowledge a plus
