Aerzen USA Corporation is an international manufacturer of positive displacement blowers, hybrid blowers, screw compressors and turbo blowers. These high-quality machines are used for air and gas applications across many essential industries, including: Wastewater, Cement, Biogas, Pharmaceutical and Food, among many others. Aerzen recently acquired the assets of Vooner Flogard Corporation and is looking to invest in the business and fill key positions to drive growth.
Vooner FloGard has over 31 years of experience with corrosion and erosion-resistant vacuum pump applications, including patented vacuum pump designs and vacuum system engineering capabilities. Additionally, Vooner is an OEM for complete vacuum systems for slurry dewatering, evaporation, pneumatic conveying, condenser exhauster, and felt cleaning in paper mills generating aftermarket business of actuators and sales opportunities for long term low-cost vacuum pumps.
We are currently seeking a Application Engineer, Vacuum for Vooner Flogard LLC. Reporting directly to the General Manger, Vooner Flogard LLC, this person will provide support to our sales representatives, production team, suppliers and customers by providing in-depth response to commercial and technical inquiries, preparing quotations and technical proposals, and providing application and product training as it relates to Vooner’s vacuum pump product offering. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Support sales and sales representatives with review of specifications, equipment selection, pricing, quotations and proposal preparation.
- Lead specification and plan development for packaged systems. Ensure that Vooner product and accessories are fully integrated and special features capitalized upon in the engineer’s specification.
- Assist order processing with technical clarifications and drawing approvals from customer.
- Provide guidance and support of sizing and selection tools.
- Prepare new sales orders for turnover to Operations by reviewing scope of supply, sales price, cost estimates, terms and conditions, added specifications, etc.
- Work with General Manager to keep up to date on the latest equipment revisions and appropriate applications.
- Assist sales and sales representatives with application and product training as required
- Assist in preparation of sales forecasts and other management reports as needed; Maintain and updated sale-related databases as needed.
- Be a source of knowledge regarding industry news, trends, products, services, competitors, technologies, and new developments.
- Develop case studies as required highlighting advantages of Vooner products.
- Present ideas and information accurately and explain industry jargon in a clear manner for customers and other internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or technical school) with field of study: Mechanical Engineering or Science
- 3 to 5 years related Application Engineering experience with vacuum pumps, preferably single stage and two stage liquid ring designs. Paper industry knowledge is a plus.
- Able to create, use, navigate and generate reports at an Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft office applications.
- Able to navigate effectively ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Navision. Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus.
