Animal Care Attendant - Day or Evening Shift Inpatient Department Job at MSPCA-Angell
This is a full time 40 hour a week position. We have both a day shift and evening shift available. The evening shift position pays an additional $2.00 an hour shift differential.
If you have a love of animals and have at least 6 months of current professional animal handling experience in the Animal Care industry, we have a new opportunity in our Inpatient Service for an evening and day shift Veterinary Attendant. This position is responsible for the care of our patients in our inpatient service.
Some of the responsibilities include walking, feeding, providing overall care and comfort to patients, and documenting medical record information in the hospital computer system. Attendants must be able to recognize and report when an animal is not stable and identify and quickly respond to any signs of an animal in distress. Applicants must have recent professional experience with animals of all sizes and temperaments. Strong math skills and the ability to multitask are important aspects of this position.

Experience
Required- A minimum of 6 months of current professional animal handling experience is required. Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel and stand for prolonged period of time. Must be able to lift 50lbs
Education
Required- High School or better
