Analyst 1 – Inventory Control Job at Nissan

We’re currently looking for a Analyst 1 to join our team in Smyrna, TN.

Position Job Description:
Ensure the on-time delivery performance of suppliers shipping to the Nissan North America (NNA) Smyrna plant

Minimize premium freight transportation expense for both NNA and supplier

Support new model launches and balance outs

Support Saturday production and back-up support for other analysts

Assure the accurate and timely preparation of parameters that are used to operate all aspects of the parts ordering and material supply release process

Daily contact with: parts arrangement - adopt/abolish date, transportation – expediting containers, parts ordering – supply schedule and release questions, scheduling – schedule, quality assurance – parts on quality hold, material handling – request and process cycles

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of directly related professional experience

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience

Experience using MRP or other dynamic inventory control systems

Background in master scheduling, engineering change control, statistical analysis, inventory control systems, obsolescence control and familiarity with purchasing systems

General understanding of Nissan policies and procedures

Strong computer skills

Other Qualifications Desired:
Highly organized individual with excellent analytical, written and verbal skills; Persuasive and persistent individual with demonstrated leadership skills; Comprehend and evaluate problems with ability to determine root cause and propose corrective action. Excellent communication skills.
