Two Rivers Supervisory Union is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of the After School Program (ASP) Director. The ASP Director is responsible for planning and executing the educational program in accordance with the mission and goals of the TRSU ASPs and 21CCLC goals. Responsible for the supervision of ASP Site Coordinators, staff, and daily operations and children attending Go WILD. Responsible for maintaining funding through the 21CCLC, Vermont Department of Children and Families, and local contributions.

Qualifications: Professionally prepared as a teacher or educational administrator, has a minimum of 5 years successfully working with school age children. Must meet the requirements to hold this position per the Department of Children and Families State Licensing regulations.A sensitive, mature individual who relates well to children and adults - must be able to navigate the spectrum from Senior Leadership and school board members to parents and children. A self motivated individual who is able to solve problems involving staff, parents, children, school personal, and community members. Must be able to resolve conflict in a professional and courteous manner.

A member of the community, or able to build a connection within the community. This position often serves as a liaison for the ASP, the school, the supervisory union ,and the community partners. Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: - Solely responsible for all 21C grant application and federal reports - Create and maintain yearly budgets for all ASP programs - Support all programs within TRSU being mindful of equity - Be the face and spokes-person for the ASP - Facilitate trainings and monthly staff meetings for staff members throughout the year - Hire, supervise, and assist staff in implementing programming for the ASP in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the TRSU After School Programs - Evaluate staff, programming, budgets and systems yearly in accordance with the TRSU sustainability plan, program assessment, grant requirements and YPQI - Provide programming that meets the needs of working families, the school, and individual children with concern for their interests, handicaps, special talents, and individual style and pace of learning - Work with parents to promote understanding of their child's growth and development; encourage parent participation in school programs; attend parent groups and ASP functions; conduct parent meetings on request - Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of Best Practices and the Vermont State Childcare Regulations. See regs for hours needed per year - Plan and implement public-relations events sponsored by the ASP - Direct TRSU's Go WILD for 7 weeks during the summer - Maintain professional relationships with ASP staff and school staff - Recognize our place within the school district and community, build partnerships and collaborate - Maintain the integrity of the program and comply with all procedures set by the ASP advisory board, 21C Guidelines, and State of Vermont Childcare Regulations.
