Full-time advertising sales position with our top-tier Pacific Northwest publications. We’re currently looking to expand our team in both the Washington and Oregon markets. This is not a replacement position. Our average advertising salesperson earns over $115K annually through our 65 magazine locations nationally, and this opportunity is no different with immediate potential, forecasted growth, and a wide product offering.

TheHomeMag Pacific Northwest Team, first began Publishing in 2016 and has since grown tremendously throughout the region, mailing more than 4M magazines annually, across the Central Willamette Valley, Portland Metro, Southwest Washington, and most recently the South Puget Sound region. Most exciting of all, this is just the beginning.

While TheHomeMag is a National Brand in over 65 Locations, our THM PNW Group is a locally owned and operated franchise team. We all live and work tirelessly to improve our business communities and homeowner neighborhoods with each issue we publish.

This is a remote work-from-home environment and requires you to have a comfortable home office ideally located in one of the many suburbs within the region. You will be interacting with customers and prospects through the area, so being able to be effective both in your office while also visiting your customer base is an important balance.

Niche print advertising is astonishingly effective, particularly in the Home Improvement space, and TheHomeMag Brand is growing into our 20th year as the undisputed leader in home improvement, direct-mail marketing. Our publications throughout the Pacific Northwest are consistently at the top of our system across the U.S. - and we have this special opportunity to join our growing team.

By creating successful business relationships with clients, you not only help grow local businesses, but you guarantee growth for your income simultaneously. You are vital to TheHomeMag’s success when you add new clients, retain current clients, meet key deadlines and keep a full-pipeline of prospects, all while managing your sales activity and communicating properly with clients, prospects, and your team.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Identify, meet with, and secure new business opportunities for all of our print products, properly and consistently pursuing each and closing new sales.
  • Provide strategic advice and advertising guidance to our core business prospects and clients, most of which are home improvement, getting the best ROI on their advertising dollars by working with and for them in a consultative role.
  • Gain extensive knowledge of our capabilities, our products, our advantages, and our booming industry of home improvement and home services.
  • Stay informed on all home improvement and lifestyle advertising and media in the local area.
  • Be a great teammate, handle the minimal administrative nuances of sales (CRM, light reporting), and become a remarkable brand ambassador.
We need you to help us to be simpler home improvement marketing for all our home improvement professionals, and to clear the path to make it easy to do business with. Our advertisers, current and new, need you to help their business grow with fewer hassles, headaches and stress.
