Position Summary:
This position will provide clerical and reception support to the Hospitalist Service/Hospital Operations on day-to-day operations. This position ensures the completion of the overall Physician scheduling for multiple locations; coordination of schedules for Hospital Operations Director, Hospitalist Assistant Medical Director, and Physician Manager, patient liaison after discharge, and facilitator of documentation completion from queries. Supporting any reporting metrics/summaries for the Hospital Medicine Service.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two years of general clerical.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain objective, non-judgmental, positive attitude. Self directed, able to work independently. Strong organizational skills. Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Office, report writing, medical terminology and database and statistical skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Schedules meetings and arranges for appointments for department/department leaders. Prepares and/or provides necessary documents for use in meetings. Attends meetings as requested to take minutes.
  • Manages appointments on leaders calendars, prepares correspondence as directed.
  • Assists in resolution of technology and environmental issues for the Hospital Operations Department/Hospitalist Medicine Service including entering work requests for a variety of needs.
  • Enters data into scheduling software programs for Hospitalist Service and Triage RNs checking for accuracy.
  • Arranges details for department events as directed by leadership.
  • Assist leadership in providing structure for any office intern to learn supporting roles in Hospital Setting
  • Manages travel plans and forms for travel as requested by leadership. Assists in onboarding new department employees in the hospital system as directed by leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to maintaining the professional appearance of the department.
