        Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
       
 
       - Basic math, basic editing and time management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Minimum 3 years verifiable professional office experience.
- Knowledge of basic accounting, budgeting, hiring and purchasing practices.
        Preferred Qualifications
       
 
       - Prior verifiable work experience in a university setting.
- Familiar with Concur Travel.
- Familiar with TX State software and applications such as PaymentWorks, SAP, and Marketplace.
- Prior event planning
- Proficient with Excel and Access
        Job Description
       
 
       
        Responsible for providing administrative and general clerical support to management/staff within assigned division/department or unit.
       
 
      
        Job Duties
       
 
       - Prepare and execute orders in Marketplace.
- Research vendor information & update and add new vendors to system
- Assist faculty with travel in Concur
- Assist with hiring of faculty and staff
- Prepare scholarship awards
- Prepare student stipends from grant accounts
- Research open encumbrance reports and handle accordingly
- Reconcile goods receipts to items receive on purchase orders and invoicing
- Contact vendors on damaged/lost late orders
- Attend FSS meetings and vendor fairs
- Assist in coordination of special events and meetings
- Additional duties as assigned
